Bluebell Design

Lorna’s Bluebell design will inspire you to take a wander through the woods this Spring as the forest floor becomes a carpet of beautiful blue. Inspired by illustration Lorna made when visiting a glamping site in Leicestershire for her honeymoon in 2014.

Lorna sat in a bluebell field with her pencils and paper and enjoyed the wonderful blue view and scent of the bluebells in woodlands and watching the beautiful violet glow on the woodland floor.

Bluebells are an iconic flower in the UK which is a sign that spring is in full swing, they flower from April time onwards, depending on the British spring weather. They are beautiful flowers which are often used in story telling and linked with fairies in the forest. Bluebells are often occicated with acient woodland and are often used to work out how old woodlands are.
