Heartwarming Christmas Card Collection in Collaboration with Dog’s Trust:
Celebrating the Special Bond Between People and Their Dogs
This Christmas season, I have teamed up with Dog’s Trust, one of the UK’s largest and most beloved dog welfare charities, to create a beautiful range of Christmas cards. These delightful designs not only capture the magic of the festive season but also celebrate the special connection between people and their dogs. In addition to spreading holiday cheer, 10% of the proceeds from these cards will go to Dog’s Trust, supporting their vital work in rescuing and rehoming dogs across the country.
Each of the four designs illustrates heartwarming, everyday moments that dog lovers everywhere will recognise, bringing to life the joy, loyalty, and companionship that our furry friends offer. Here’s a closer look at these charming creations:
Cosy Christmas Evening Christmas Cards
In one of the cards, I paint a winter scene that evokes the warmth and magic of Christmas time. A woman, warmly bundled in a scarf and coat, enjoys a peaceful moment with her dog in the still of a frosty evening. The world around them sparkles with frost, the air crisp and cold, but their bond radiates warmth. The cosiness of the scene reflects the comfort and companionship our pets bring us, especially during the festive season when the simplest moments can be the most meaningful.
Girl and Her Dog’s Trust Christmas Cards
In another design, a little girl, cheeks rosy with the cold, is captured in a tender moment, leaning down to give her dog a gentle kiss. This scene is more than just a portrayal of a child’s affection for her pet; it’s a celebration of the deep bond that exists between children and their dogs, especially those who have been rescued and rehomed. For many rescue dogs, finding a loving family brings a second chance at happiness, and this card beautifully illustrates the sense of security and unconditional love that both the child and the dog share. The trust and innocence in their interaction remind us of the remarkable ways in which dogs enrich our lives.
Little Boy and His Dog Card
In a third card, a little boy embraces his dog, the two of them snuggled together in a moment of pure joy. The boy’s arms are wrapped tightly around his furry friend, who returns the affection with eyes full of trust and loyalty. The image conveys the powerful emotional bond between people and their pets—an unwavering friendship that is never more evident than during the holidays when family and love are at the forefront. This card celebrates that unspoken understanding between a child and their pet, a connection that so many dog owners will recognise in their own lives.
A Cheeky Sausage Dog Christmas Card
The final card adds a playful touch to the collection. Here, a mischievous sausage dog has made its way to the top of a teetering stack of Christmas presents, tail wagging with delight. The dog’s cheeky expression captures the irrepressible nature of dachshunds, known for their bold and curious personalities. This design brings a smile, reminding us of the joy and laughter that dogs bring into our lives with their playful antics—especially at Christmas when even the smallest family members get involved in the festive fun.
Supporting Dog’s Trust
By purchasing these beautifully illustrated cards, not only will you be sending heartfelt Christmas greetings, but you’ll also be supporting Dog’s Trust. Founded in 1891, Dog’s Trust is dedicated to ensuring the welfare of dogs across the UK. Their work includes rescuing and rehoming thousands of dogs each year, providing essential medical care, and helping dogs find their forever families. Whether a dog has been abandoned, mistreated, or simply needs a new home, Dog’s Trust offers them a lifeline, helping to transform their lives through love and care.
This collaboration between Lorna Syson and Dog’s Trust is a celebration of the joy dogs bring into our lives, captured in four touching designs that remind us of the warmth and magic of Christmas. As we gather with our loved ones this festive season, these cards are a beautiful way to share the love we feel for our pets, while also giving back to a cause that helps so many dogs in need.
With every card you send, you’re not only spreading festive cheer—you’re also making a difference for rescue dogs, giving them the gift of a second chance this Christmas.
