Caroline’s Stilton, Pear and Walnut salad

Who doesn’t love a refreshing salad in the middle Summer? So we want to share with you one our favourites that’s a little bit different to your average salad! One of the key ingredients which really makes this salad special is parsley. Our new plant pots are the perfect size for herbs so you can easily keep your parsley in them, parsley looks great in our Greenfinch design! Luckily, inside parsley doesn’t need to be watered as often as you would think so just give it a water whenever the soil on top looks dry. Although our new plant pots are made from 100% linen they have a completely waterproof lining and are sealed with silicone no no worries about spillages!

 

You will need:

  • Salad leaves
  • 1 Pear
  • Chopped and shelled walnuts
  • Crumbled Stilton
  • Fresh parsley
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Lemon juice

 

Dressing:

  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Squeeze if half a lemon
  • Whisk all together

 

Directions:

  • Chop pear into small cubes and place into a large bowl with the salad leaves
  • Add 55g walnuts, 55g stilton and parsley
  • Add the dressing
  • Mix everything together
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Eat and enjoy!
