Christmas Light: A Festive Christmas Collection by Lorna Syson

There is something magical about Christmas lights. As the evenings draw in and the days get colder, seeing houses, trees and streets lit up with tiny twinkling lights instantly makes Christmas feel a little closer.

My Christmas Light collection was inspired by that feeling – the simple joy of seeing Christmas lights glowing against the winter darkness.

The collection includes Christmas cards and wrapping paper, designed to bring a little extra sparkle to your Christmas celebrations

Inspired by the magic of Christmas lights

I love the little traditions that make Christmas feel special. Putting up the decorations, choosing the perfect presents, writing Christmas cards and, of course, switching on the Christmas lights for the first time.

For the Christmas Light design, I wanted to capture that magical moment when everything is decorated and glowing.

Rather than creating a traditional Christmas pattern filled with obvious festive motifs, I wanted the design to feel a little more contemporary while still having that unmistakable Christmas feeling.

The result is a playful design inspired by twinkling lights, perfect for adding a festive touch to your presents and Christmas post.

Christmas Light wrapping paper

Beautiful wrapping paper can make even the smallest present feel special.

The Christmas Light wrapping paper is designed for those who love their Christmas presents to look as lovely on the outside as they do inside. The repeating festive pattern makes it perfect for wrapping presents for family and friends, whether you’re preparing the big presents for Christmas morning or a few little gifts for a festive get-together.

I love the idea of mixing and matching wrapping papers underneath the tree, creating a colourful collection of beautifully wrapped presents rather than everything looking identical.

And, as with all my wrapping paper designs, the aim is to make the wrapping part of the gift too.

Christmas cards with a little extra sparkle

Christmas cards are one of my favourite parts of the festive season.

There is something lovely about taking the time to choose a card for someone, write a personal message and put it in the post. In a world where so much communication happens digitally, receiving a Christmas card through the letterbox feels even more special.

The Christmas Light Christmas card combines a contemporary illustration with that nostalgic feeling of Christmas decorations and twinkling lights.

It’s perfect for sending to family, friends, customers, colleagues or anyone who deserves a little festive cheer through the post.

Designed in Britain

All of my Christmas designs start life in my studio, where I create the illustrations and patterns before turning them into products.

Nature and everyday life are a constant source of inspiration for my work, but Christmas gives me the opportunity to play with colour, pattern and a little bit of festive magic.

I love creating Christmas stationery and wrapping paper that feels joyful and modern, whilst still having that traditional sense of warmth and celebration.
