I am proud to call myself a British fabric designer. Not only is a lot of my work inspired by British wildlife but I have been working hard over the last few years to ensure that my whole production is based in the UK. I want to be able to truly call myself a British designer, so all my fabrics are made using UK suppliers and digitally printed in the UK.
I also work closely with the printers to be as sustainable as possible. I think it’s important to be a more environmentally conscious brand in 2020. One of my brand values is to be kind to the environment and I like to ensure this transcends into all part of my business.
When I collaborate with other businesses I want to ensure that all this is reflected in the brands I associate with too. Therefore when the opportunity arose to work with the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds), I knew that this was a good match.

Teal Hummingbird Designer Home Interiors
One of the designs that has been a firm favourite, especially on the fabrics, is my teal hummingbird design. The hummingbird teal design shows illustrations of honeysuckle with hummingbirds darting between the leaves and flowers.
The teal backdrop is bold, striking and very on trend. The amazing thing about this collection is that 10% of the sales goes directly to the RSPB to support the fantastic work they do with British birds and wildlife.
Upcycling Designer Fabric with Birds and Flower Blossoms
I think the bird fabric has been so popular because it is really versatile. It is perfect for upcycling furniture upholstery, making cushions, chair seat covers and custom family creations – bedspreads and handmade heirloom items.
This is where another partnership comes into the mix. I have been working with the wonderful PF Collection Ltd. to create made to order furniture with my fabrics. PF Collections is a specialist bespoke upholstery manufacturer and UK furniture maker based in Long Eaton. They are a family run business who have been producing fine handmade British upholstery for 30 years.

They take so much pride in what they do and they very much want to keep furniture making alive in this area of England and ensure that the skills in manufacturing such pieces are maintained.
