My Bullfinch lampshade celebrates the distinctive colouring of a beautiful British bird. Peach breasts and grey details sit against a white background, bringing gentle colour and illustrated pattern into your home.

Designed by me, Lorna Syson, an independent designer based in South Oxfordshire, this lampshade adds character to a bedside table, living room lamp or ceiling pendant.

Inspired by childhood birdwatching

I remember the excitement of spotting bullfinches as a child. Those brief encounters made their colouring especially memorable and became the starting point for this design.

My Bullfinch illustration captures a little of that pleasure: noticing a bird, taking in its markings and carrying the memory home. It’s a pattern for anyone who enjoys the wildlife found in British gardens and woodland.

Handmade in the UK

Each Bullfinch lampshade is made to order and hand rolled in the UK using digitally printed 100% cotton fabric.

Pattern placement varies depending on where the fabric is cut, so the arrangement of birds may differ slightly from the photographs.

Styling your peach and grey lampshade

Pair Bullfinch with natural wood, plain curtains and textured cushions for a relaxed interior. Repeat the peach details through a throw or artwork to introduce warmth, or draw out the grey tones for a softer scheme.

The white background keeps the pattern feeling fresh, making it a lovely accent among simple furnishings. Choose the compact shade for a smaller table, or a larger size to give the illustration more presence.

Lampshades are all made to order and can take up to 10 days to arrive with you, especially at business times of the year such as Christmas. If you’ve ordered a lampshade alongside other products please note that the lampshade will arrive separately

This bird lampshade is made from 100% cotton and digitally printed in the UK.

Small: 20cm diameter x 14cm deep: £49.50 (base only unless requested)

Medium: 30cm diameter x 20cm deep: £69.50

Yes. It is available in 20cm, 30cm and 40cm diameters. The small shade measures 20cm across and 14cm high.

Can I order it for a ceiling pendant or a lamp base?
Please specify your intended use when ordering. The 20cm shade comes with a lamp-base fitting as standard; a ceiling fitting should be requested.

Returns
All of our items are made with great care and we hope you like them. However, if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase please return it in the original packaging and unused within 30 days. Please contact us for a returns form.
