My Juneberry and Bird lampshade celebrates the birds that helped inspire my love of nature. Blue and yellow accents bring colour to the illustration, making this a lovely addition to a bedside table, living room lamp or ceiling pendant.

Designed by me, Lorna Syson, an independent designer based in South Oxfordshire, this patterned lampshade brings a little garden life into your everyday surroundings.

Inspired by birds outside my childhood window

As a child, I watched great tits nesting outside my bedroom window. Those early encounters stayed with me and became the inspiration for my Juneberry and Bird design.

I wanted to capture the pleasure of seeing familiar birds close to home, translating those memories into an illustration you can enjoy indoors. It’s a personal design that reflects how noticing everyday wildlife continues to shape my work.

Handmade in the UK

Each Juneberry and Bird lampshade is made to order and hand rolled in the UK using digitally printed 100% cotton fabric.

Pattern placement varies depending on where the fabric is cut, so the arrangement of birds and botanical details may differ slightly from the photographs.

Styling your Juneberry and Bird lampshade

Pair Juneberry and Bird with natural wood and textured fabrics for a relaxed room. Repeat its blue or yellow accents through cushions, artwork or accessories to connect the lampshade with your furnishings.

The small shade is a lovely option for a compact bedside table, while the larger sizes give the illustration more presence. Check the proportions against your lamp base before choosing.

Lampshades are all made to order and can take up to 10 days to arrive with you, especially at business times of the year such as Christmas. If you’ve ordered a lampshade alongside other products please note that the lampshade will arrive separately

This bird lampshade is made from 100% cotton and digitally printed in the UK.

Small: 20cm diameter x 14cm deep: £49.50 (base only unless requested)

Medium: 30cm diameter x 20cm deep: £69.50

Large: 40cm diameter x 24.5cm deep: £99.50

Does the lampshade come in a 20cm size?
Yes. It is available in 20cm, 30cm and 40cm diameters. The small shade measures 20cm across and 14cm high.

Can I order it for a ceiling pendant or a lamp base?
Please specify your intended use when ordering. The 20cm shade comes with a lamp-base fitting as standard; a ceiling fitting should be requested.

We will process your order within 1 to 3 days but we aim to process the same day, Monday to Friday excluding UK holidays. Lampshades are made to order and take 3 to 7 days.

Returns
All of our items are made with great care and we hope you like them. However, if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase please return it in the original packaging and unused within 30 days. Please contact us for a returns form.
