Broom & Bee Lampshade – Sky

Broom and Bee Sky lampshade by Lorna Syson

My Broom and Bee Sky lampshade celebrates the small details of a countryside garden. Yellow bees and broom flowers combine against a sky blue background, bringing gentle colour and botanical detail into your home.

Designed by me, Lorna Syson, an independent designer based in South Oxfordshire, this linen lampshade makes a lovely addition to a bedside table, living room lamp or ceiling pendant.

Inspired by warm May days in Leicestershire

Broom and Bee was inspired by my honeymoon hideaway in rural Leicestershire. It brings back memories of warm May days, flowers in bloom and bees moving between them.

The Sky colourway captures that fresh, outdoors feeling, turning a personal countryside memory into an illustration you can enjoy every day.

Handmade in the UK

Each Broom and Bee Sky lampshade is made to order using 100% linen fabric, digitally printed in Lancashire and handmade into a shade in Bolton.

Pattern placement varies depending on where the fabric is cut, so the arrangement of bees and flowers may differ slightly from the photographs.

Styling your sky blue bee lampshade

Pair Broom and Bee Sky with natural wood and textured fabrics for a relaxed bedroom or living room. Introduce yellow through cushions, artwork or accessories to echo the small bee details.

The sky blue background works beautifully with simple furnishings, allowing the illustrated pattern to become a focal point. It is a lovely starting point for a room inspired by gardens and summer days.
